Learn Astrology!

The Astrology Series will discuss special topics each week so that by the end of the series, you'll have a good handle on important aspects of your Natal Chart. When registering, please provide your please provide your birthdate, birthtime and birthplace and be prepared to bring in your chart every week to discuss. Each class is $22. Pre-registration is required, please call Open Doors to register at least 2 days in advance of class.

Astrology-Signs: The Signs in Astrology represent how energy is expressed. Are you the Star of the Show (Leo) or a great communicator (Gemini)? Do you need to have balance (Libra) or do you like to be stubborn (Taurus)? Let's take a look at the meanings of the signs and we'll combine it with planet meanings to fill in the astrological picture. (Dates - July 17th, 7pm to 9pm)

Astrology-Houses: The Houses in Astrology represent where energy is expressed. Is your house of relationships full of planets? Is your house of Karma empty? We'll talk about what each house represents and how the planets and signs can shift the meanings in your chart. (Dates - August 14th, 7pm to 9pm)

Astrology-Chiron: Asteroids are known as "Minor" influences can be major on life situations. We'll look at the history of one asteroid, Chiron, the Wounded Healer. Where Chiron sits in your chart is the the place that can cause deep pain but where you can triumph and find your greatest power and healing abilities. (Date - September 11th, 7pm to 9pm)

Astrology-Aspects: What does a Trine and Quincux mean in astrology? Imagine moving in with a neighbor or down the street - how do those relationships affect each other? We'll look at these two significant aspects of astrology and how they can affect your personality, life and relationships. (Date - October 16th, 7pm to 9pm)

Astrology-Overview: What is the history of Astrology? How has it been used throughout the ages? How is Astrology used to plan weddings, events or other major life changes? In this class, we'll lay the foundation of Astrology so you can see how it can be useful in your life. (Date - November 13th, 7pm to 9pm)

Astrology-Planets: The Planets in Astrology represent what energy needs to be expressed. Are you in touch with your spiritual side (Neptune)? Do you need to handle unexpected changes (Uranus)? How well do you communicate (Mercury)? We'll look at the meanings of all the planets and review where they are in your natal chart. (Dates - December 4th, 7pm to 9pm)

Each class is $22. Pre-registration is required, please call the vendor listed to register at least 2 days in advance of class.
Class 1 - Introduction to Tarot -The Tarot has been a divination tool since the 1500. Many have used the tarot to receive guidance and direction on all kind of life topics. In this introduction to the Tarot, we'll discuss the history of the Tarot, the Elements, the Numbers associated with the cards and how to keep a Tarot Journal. Please bring a Tarot Deck (78 card deck) to call to review.

Open Doors Braintree Date - October 23rd, 7pm-9pm

Class 2 - The Major Arcana -Take a journey through the Major Arcana from the Fool (the Beginning) through The World (Completion). The Major Arcana (known as "The Greater Secrets") represents significant themes within a situation. We'll review each card through the life journey and how each card can effect life changes and events.

Class 3 - The Minor Arcana -The Minor Arcana (known as "The Lesser Secrets") describes less significant influences over life events or situations. Don't be fooled, though, these cards are very powerful in brining insight to a situation. We'll look at Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles (and similar correspondences) within a deck and how they can develop the story of the reading.

Class 4 - Combinations -What if the Three of Swords combines with the Lovers Card? What about the Sun with the Fool card? Are combinations of Major Arcana as significant as Minor Arcana? This class will review combinations and how they can affect the tone of the question being asked.

Class 5 - Tarot Spreads/Practice -Depending on where the cards land in a spread tells the story of a situation or answers a question. We'll review traditional tarot spreads of one, three and other multiple card spreads, the Celtic Cross and others. There will also be a review of how to ask questions of the cards. Finally, we'll practice these spreads and your skills by reading for each other!
